SARS-CoV-2 Variants ELITe MGB® Kit

The SARS-CoV-2 Variants ELITe MGB® Kit is used as reflex test for the qualitative detection and discrimination of the mutations E484K, E484Q and N501Y of the S gene of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 virus) through Reverse Transcription, Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction and melting curve analysis. Due to this multi-target design, the assay can be used as an aid in the identification of the following variants: Alpha variant (UK), lineage B.1.1.7, the Beta variant (South Africa), lineage B.1.351, the Gamma variant (Japanese), lineage P1, the Zeta variant (Brazil), lineage P2, the Eta variant (Nigeria), lineage B.1.525, and Kappa variant (India), lineage B.1617.1. The assay is validated in association with «ELITe InGenius®» system and Respiratory Swab samples (nasopharyngeal, nasal or oropharyngeal swabs).
